Simple pleasures & extraordinary events

The places in Historic Royal Palaces’ (HRP) care are beacons of history, culture and heritage.

We worked with HRP to celebrate two of them—Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, the monarch’s residence in Northern Ireland, and the Tower of London, an important landmark during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. In the first case, we created a compelling campaign encouraging people to visit after the Covid-19 pandemic. In the second, we promoted Superbloom, when a sea of wildflowers erupted from the Tower of London’s moat and grounds.

We recognised the unique requirements of each project. As always, we built our approach on research—identifying audiences and the best ways to reach and move them.

For Hillsborough, this culminated in “Every Little Thing Made Wonder Full”, a campaign emphasising life’s simple pleasures. It featured videos with Wes Anderson-inspired visual style, ASMR sound elements, and onomatopoeic copy.

For Superbloom, we anticipated the profusion of colour with captivating digital assets that blended wildflower meadows with kaleidoscopic special effects.

The Hillsborough campaign positioned the castle and its gardens as a place of wonder with a sensory-rich narrative that continues attracting visitors. Our work for the Tower of London’s Superbloom event gave potential visitors a rich taste of the spectacle they could expect to see, generating excitement and anticipation.
