Queen’s University Belfast Students’ Union is at the heart of campus life, offering representation, facilities, clubs, events, and advocacy for Queen’s’ 25,000 students. We helped them build a brand and design student centre spaces that demonstrated their commitment to members’ well-being, inclusion, and success.

Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) is a member of the Russell Group and one of the world’s top 100 universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. QUB Students Union (QUBSU) is integral to this illustrious institution.

We employed two strategies to help QUBSU realise this vision for its brand. Firstly, we recognised the Students Union building’s symbolic importance. It had to welcome students from a wide variety of backgrounds. We envisioned a brand that encapsulated this vibrancy and inclusivity. Secondly, harnessing those values, we engaged and collaborated with students and faculty. This close collaboration was crucial to our understanding of their aspirations for the space and ensuring the brand resonated with them.

Our combined efforts delivered a brand and Student Union building that champion inclusivity and celebrate individuality. One of the distinctive ways the brand does this is through personalised brand marks, which spotlight the individual members who make up the Student Union.
